I’ve had gut pain for as long as I can remember. Even as a little girl, I’d clutch my stomach after meals, not understanding why something as simple as eating could hurt so much. Doctors told my parents I’d “grow out of it.” I didn’t. The pain became a familiar rhythm — sometimes vanishing for months, then crashing back harder than ever. By my 30s and 40s, I was teaching Pilates, moving constantly, eating clean, doing all the things. But still… I was bloated, exhausted, and uncomfortable in my own body. Some days, I felt like I was doing everything right — and my body still didn’t get the memo.
